KAS Low voltage current measuring transformer

KAS Low voltage current measuring transformer

Where are current transformers used?

Current transformers measure alternating current in electrical installations, providing a reduced current signal for compatible meters, monitoring equipment and protection devices. They are commonly used in distribution boards, industrial control panels, commercial buildings and energy management systems.

Choosing the right type

Solid-core current transformers are fitted around a cable or busbar during installation. Split-core models can be opened and fitted around an existing conductor without disconnecting it, making them a practical choice for retrofit projects.

When selecting a model, check the current ratio, accuracy class, rated burden and aperture dimensions to ensure compatibility with your installation and connected equipment.

Installation must be carried out by qualified personnel. Never leave the secondary circuit open while primary current is flowing.
